Take Advantage of Calls to Action on Your Facebook Brand Page

In December, Facebook launched a feature that can help brands convert visitors to their Facebook pages.

Designed to bring a business’s most important objective to the forefront of its Facebook presence, call-to-action buttons link to any destination on or off Facebook that aligns with a business’s goals.

We recently had this feature roll out to our Facebook page, and we're excited to try it out. We plan to promote upcoming webinars with it. We will use a trackable link (which you can create via bit.ly, but we will create it in our marketing automation system, Pardot), so that we can see how many people click on it.

I realize this feature is useful only for those who deliberately call up our company's Facebook page, which typically only happens when a user first hears that we are on Facebook, so the traffic to the page itself is quite low compared to those who see our updates in their own feed. So we are not expecting tremendous volume through this channel. It's still a nice bone for Facebook to throw us brands, in my opinion, small as it may be. It's nice to see that they are recognizing our desire to give our visitors the option to take action beyond just following the page.

Are you using it? What are you using it for?
